On October 29, 2002 the Irish Draught Horse Society brought their inspectors from Ireland. Fox N Firkin presented a sport horse filly and a sport horse colt for inspection. This son of Flagmount King, RID, known as King's Ransom won the prestigious Canadian Sporthorse Luitenant Governor's Cup Class for 3 year old sport horses in 2000 at The Breeders Classic Horse Show held at Thunderbird Showpark, in Langley B.C. Canada. King's Ransom also won back to back futurity classes every time competed at The Breeders Classic Horse Show every year until 2000. The colt is currently approved as a Canadian Sporthorse stallion at Basic Level with C.S.H.A as well as being approved and registered as an Irish Draught Sporthorse stallion. 2001 was a year of great success and fertility at Fox N Firkin Farms. Our Scottish Deerhound bitch, Layla, recently imported from England, had a litter of TEN Scottish Deerhound puppies on May 26, 2001. Our Kennel is the only AKC inspected and approved deerhound Kennel in California. Most of the litter has been placed in some very fine homes, but there is no shortage of cuteness at home. Lillibet knows how to give and accept affection from the heart and soul of the Fox N Firkin working crew. |
